The International Conference on Fire Safety and Compliance (FireSnC) will take place on 22–25 November 2026.
FireSnC2026 has been organised by the Fire Safety and Compliance Research Group, School of Built Environment and Design at Western Sydney University.

The conference brings together leading researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from around the world. Together, we will explore the latest innovations, challenges, and future directions in research and practice for fire safety and compliance to mitigate fire risk in buildings and infrastructure.

Themes

• Structural Fire Engineering: concrete, timber, FRP steel & composite structures.
• Bullding Materlals under Fire: sustainable materials, cladding, insulation, flame-retardant materials, polymer, composite materials. 
• Fire Protection Systems: active fire protection: sprinklers, suppression technologies; and passive fire protection: intumescent coatings, cementitious materials, bushfire fire-resistant protection and systems.
• Fire Dynamics and Numerical Modelling: compartment fire, travelling fire, tunnel fire, EV fire. battery fire, bushfire, and small-scale and large-scale fire modelling. 
• Fire Risk Assessment and Management: human behaviour in fire and bushfire, probabilistic fire risk modelling and cost analysis. 
• Fire Emerging Technologies and Innovation: loT-enabled fire detection systems, Al-driven fire modelling and predictive analytics. 
• Fire Compliance and Regulation: performance-based vs prescriptive designs, bushfire and fire safety certification processes, digital compliance for fire safety, case studies on fire compliance pathways in complex infrastructure projects.
