3. Feb 2021

NCP_WIDE.NET project, whose main aim is to create a transnational network of National Contact Points (NCPs) for Spreading Excellence and Widening Participation under Horizon 2020 in order to facilitate transnational co-operation between NCPs, with a view to identifying and sharing good practices and raising the general standards of support to program applicants, organized a virtual workshop on evaluating project proposals on 3 February 2021. The event was well attended with 50 participants from the NCP Widening community. The purpose of the workshop was to present different views on preparing excellent project proposals so as to receive funding from Widening actions under Horizon Europe. During the event the views of experts from the European Research Agency, evaluators of different Widening actions, as well as beneficiaries who have successfully applied for the grants were presented.

FRISSBE coordinator prof. dr. Andraž Legat from ZAG presented the project, which is financed from the ERA Chair instrument and is implemented in the period 2021 - 2026. He stressed the importance of different elements that were incremental in order to guarantee the success of our resubmitted project proposal, such as a detailed SWOT analysis, less defined research areas, and carefully defined KPIs. The institutional change that will enable the integration of the ERA Chair at the decision-making bodies of ZAG was additionally presented.
