The Department for Research of Fire-Safe Sustainable Environment (FRISSBE) at the Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute (ZAG) invited researchers and experts from around the world to discuss the future of the modern built environment, where sustainability goals and fire safety objectives should be clearly defined to ensure their achievement.

The workshop organised at the new ZAG Fire laboratory building and facilities in Logatec will bring together inspiring presentations and discussion panels to encourage fruitful conversations between world-leading experts.

The workshop represents the official scientific kick-off event of the FRISSBE project, part of the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. FRISSBE representatives will also guide the workshop participants throught the new research facilities and building.
