FIRE TAKES NO VACATION #3: Engineering methods for fire safety design
We kindly invite you to a professional event on the use of performance-based methods "FIRE TAKES NO VACATION #3: ENGINEERING METHODS FOR FIRE SAFETY DESIGN" which will take place on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 9 a.m. (registration from 08:30) in the ZAG Fire laboratory in Logatec, Slovenia (Obrtna cona 35, Logatec).
Fire safety is essential to the built environment. Building fires repeatedly call for research into building materials, fire safety planning, and knowledge transfer to those who deal with it - state authorities, fire safety designers, architects, researchers, insurance companies, and, ultimately, firefighters who deal with the fires. In addition to using prescriptive documents based on regulations and guidelines, fire safety measures are often determined using performance-based engineering methods.
The event's main topic, presented by Slovenian and international experts, will be sharing experiences and general practices using performance-based methods for fire safety design.
Most lectures will be in English. The event's moderator will be Prof. Grunde Jomaas.
The registration fee is €49.
It is necessary to register for the event HERE no later than August 1, 2023. Due to limited places, the order of registration will be considered.
The event is hosted by The Slovenian Fire Protection Association and the Department for Research of Fire-safe and Sustainable Built Environment (FRISSBE) at the Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute (ZAG).
