SZPV Safety & Prevention 2026

21. - 22. Oct 2026, Ljubljana, Slovenia

The Slovenian Fire Protection Association (SZPV) proudly announces the 2026 edition of its flagship professional event, Safety & Prevention, scheduled for 21–22 Oct 2026. This two-day gathering will bring together fire-safety professionals, researchers, regulators, designers, inspectors, manufacturers, and first responders to address key challenges and emerging trends in fire prevention, protection, and workplace safety.

A central highlight of the event will be the FRISSBE Conference, which will take place on 21 Oct 2026.

This dedicated conference day will showcase the latest FRISSBE research achievements, ongoing national and European projects, and collaborative initiatives across academia, industry, testing laboratories, standardisation bodies, and public agencies. Topics will include fire dynamics, large-scale testing, façade and PV/BESS fire safety, innovative materials, performance-based design, digital tools, and the translation of scientific results into engineering practice and regulation.

The second day, on 22 Oct 2026, will be dedicated to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH).

This programme will focus on risk management in the workplace, accident prevention, safety culture, regulatory compliance, best practices, and case studies from various industries. Sessions will address both strategic and practical dimensions of OSH, including training, inspections, organisational readiness, human factors, and emerging risks related to new technologies and materials. The day will serve as an important platform for OSH professionals, safety officers, inspectors, and industry representatives to exchange knowledge and strengthen cooperation.

Across both days, the event will feature panel discussions, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities for all participants.

Safety & Prevention 2026 aims to support continuous professional development, promote innovation, and foster a safer, more resilient built and occupational environment.
