Collaboration across national borders
The Congress will bring fire and rescue services from across the world together to meet and address the many common risks, challenges and opportunities that fire and rescue services are facing – from emerging and developing risks, health safety and wellbeing of our workforce, the role of the fire and rescue service and the opportunities from innovation, AI and new technologies - all in order to share learning and good practice.
The Congress seeks to grow and deepen international collaboration across fire and rescue services – bringing the benefits of shared understanding and experience to tackle the growing global challenges that fire and rescue services face.
The Congress will take place on Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th September 2026 at the iconic QEII Conference Centre, right in the heart of Westminster, London. The event will be less than a 5-minute walk to key London landmarks including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, 10 Downing Street, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and many others. A welcome drinks reception will be hosted on the evening of Monday 7th September and a dinner will conclude the event on the evening of Wednesday 9th September.
Each nation attending will receive two free places for their formal delegates, with a recommendation that one is a fire service lead and the other a Government lead, both of whom can speak on behalf of your country. Further places will be available for additional representatives and support teams - and will be subject to an attendance fee. Bookings will open for the paid places in September.
