On March 20, FRISSBE had the pleasure of hosting Prof Dr Ing Fabian Brännström, Chair of Fire Dynamics at the University of Wuppertal, for a seminar at our fire laboratory in Logatec. The session, attended by 12 participants, focused on the complexities of fire dynamics, turbulence modeling, and computational approaches in fire safety engineering. Prof Brännström shared insights from his extensive research, particularly on numerical simulations and their application to real-world fire scenarios.

Beyond the seminar, Prof Brännström had the opportunity to observe two fire experiments conducted at our facilities. This provided a firsthand look at our testing capabilities and allowed for in-depth discussions on experimental methodologies and fire behavior analysis.

We appreciate Prof Brännström’s visit and the valuable knowledge exchange. Such collaborations contribute to advancing fire safety research and strengthening international partnerships in the field.
