On Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th of October 2023, Rothoblaas, a global company from the Italian Alps and leading creator of high technology solutions for the heavy and mass timber, energy efficient, net zero and other better building practice sectors, organised the 7th Mass Timber International Seminar at their headquarters in Cortaccia, Bolzano province, Italy.
The event is organised on a yearly basis, and it is dedicated to mass timber construction for both aspiring professionals and experts. The seminar included a comprehensive program of speeches and case studies related to mass timber construction, along with the latest developments and unique networking opportunities. The seminar attracted 100+ experts between designers, architects, structural engineers and timber construction enthusiasts seeking to create and build significant relationships within the sector, and it constituted a unique chance to stay updated with the latest construction trends and technologies on the market.
For this edition, the FRISSBE senior researchers Dr Andrea Lucherini was invited as expert in fire safety science and engineering to discuss the most recent advances, challenges, and applications for the fire safety of mass timber structures.
