On Thursday 15th February 2024, Dr Andrea Lucherini joined the 9th IMFSE Fire Safety Engineering Day at Lund University, Sweden, as FRISSBE and ZAG representative.
The International Master of Science in Fire Safety Engineering (IMFSE) arranged the day around the central theme “The importance of Data in Fire Safety Engineering”. The intent was that the members of the IMFSE Consortium discuss and debate about various aspects associated with data collection and use in fire safety engineering, including uncertainties in data and validity of data.
The programme consisted of panels discussion and presentations from the IMFSE contributors. The meeting provided a unique meet-and-greet opportunity for approximately 50 IMFSE students, several IFSE academics from the core partner institutes (Lund University, The University of Edinburgh, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and Ghent University). Various stakeholders from the fire safety industry and contributors of the IMFSE programme also attended the event.
