On October 1st, over 200 participants gathered at the "Vatrodojava i zaštita od požara" conference, held at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb, Croatia. The event, organised by Zaštita magazine and supported by several fire protection associations, provided a platform for key discussions on fire detection and prevention systems.

Dr Aleš Jug, a leading fire safety expert from FRISSBE and the Slovenian Fire Protection Association, delivered a presentation on the fire safety challenges associated with solar (photovoltaic) panels. His talk, titled "Fire Protection of Solar Panels: Experiences, Guidelines, and Regulations from Slovenia," highlighted critical safety measures and regulations necessary for the safe installation and operation of solar power plants. The conference also featured other notable speakers who addressed various aspects of fire protection, such as advanced fire detection systems in tunnels and the impact of seasonal trends on firefighting interventions.

The conference provided an excellent opportunity for fire safety professionals to engage in panel discussions, exchange ideas, and explore new technologies that will shape the future of fire safety in industries and residential spaces.
