The first meeting of the working group responsible for defining the annual theme of Fire Safety Month in Slovenia has successfully taken place. Dr Aleš Jug has been appointed as the representative of the Slovenian Fire Protection Association (SZPV).

The working group brings together key national stakeholders, including representatives from the Slovenian Firefighters Association, the Association of Slovenian Professional Firefighters, and the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief. Its role is to select the annual Fire Safety Month theme and prepare the accompanying content.

Each year, the group develops a coordinated set of activities, including a poster, TV advertisement, leaflet, and a series of seminars. ZAG, together with FRISSBE, actively contributes to these efforts, and (as in 2024) a press conference is planned for September.

The working group is reappointed annually, ensuring continuous collaboration between research institutions, professional associations, and public authorities in promoting fire safety awareness across Slovenia.
