From May 7–9, FRISSBE researcher Kirils Simakovs participated in Intersolar Europe, the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry. Held at Messe München in Germany, the event brought together more than 110,000 visitors from over 160 countries, showcasing the latest technologies, services, and innovations in solar energy as part of The smarter E Europe platform.
Organized by Solar Promotion GmbH and Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe GmbH & Co. KG (FWTM), the exhibition featured a wide array of participants—including manufacturers, suppliers, developers, consultants, investors, and researchers—dedicated to advancing the global transition to clean and sustainable energy systems.
Although attending with an exhibition-only pass, Kirils engaged with numerous stakeholders across the solar value chain, including component manufacturers, service providers, and emerging startups. His participation reflects FRISSBE’s continued interest in photovoltaic (PV) safety and its commitment to building strong connections between scientific research and industry practices.
Events like Intersolar offer valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, future collaboration, and staying current with market trends—particularly as PV technologies increasingly intersect with building systems and fire safety concerns. Kirils’ presence at the event strengthens FRISSBE’s visibility in the fire safety and innovation space and supports the team’s broader mission of fostering safe and resilient integration in buildings.
