On 18^th and 19^th February Aleksander Bergant,Dr Vadim Kudryashov, Kirils Simakovs, Dr Andrea Jurov and Jonay Brito, visited the IBS Fire Laboratory in Linz, Austria, for a two-day technical exchange aimed at strengthening professional dialogue and exploring future collaboration opportunities.

During the visit, the FRISSBE team presented the ERA Chair project, outlining its main research areas, experimental capabilities, and ongoing activities at ZAG’s Fire Laboratory. In turn, the IBS team (Anna Stanzel, Dr Günther Schwabegger, Christoph Ortner and Peter Kitzmüller) introduced their laboratory structure, testing portfolio, and operational framework, followed by a guided tour of their facilities and equipment.

The programme also included the opportunity to observe a Fire Resistance Test conducted in situ, providing valuable insight into IBS’s experimental procedures and testing methodologies.

The visit enabled constructive discussions on fire testing practices, laboratory management, and potential areas of cooperation. FRISSBE sincerely thanks the IBS team for their warm welcome and professional exchange, and looks forward to continued collaboration in the future.
