During his stay in Hefei, China, Dr Rojas-Alva also attended sessions of the prestigious FORUM workshop, which brought together leaders from top fire research organizations worldwide, including representatives from SKLFS-USTC, Sandia Laboratories, FM, VTT, Efectis, CSTB, NIST, BRI, SwRI, NRCC, UL, NFPA, NRIFD, BATFAE, TFRI, and FRIC. The event covered a range of emerging technologies and essential topics in fire safety, from photovoltaic and lithium battery fire safety to hydrogen safety, wildland fires, and the impact of peat fires in Arctic regions. We congratulate USTC, and particularly Prof Yu Wang and Prof Jiao Leo, for organizing this outstanding and essential gathering of fire science experts, paving the way for future advancements in global fire safety research.
