On November 30, the ERA Chair holder, Grunde Jomaas, gave a lecture (3 times 45 minutes) entitled ‘Planning, reading, researching and writing -  how to succeed with your MSc thesis” to the students in the IMFSE  and MFSE programmes hosted by Ghent University. He also presented the FRISSBE project and informed the students about the PhD positions that will be announced in the first part of 2022. Prof Jomaas was scheduled to spend the week in Ghent as an IMFSE Scholar and engage with students, administrators and academics in those programmes. Such a visit is a great opportunity for interaction with the world leading IMFSE programme, and it was therefore unfortunate that the recent news and rule changes related to the pandemic prevented a physical visit. Prof Jomaas hopes that the scholar visit in 2022 will be possible and looks forward to meeting the enthusiastic students in person.
