Ulises Rojas-Alva was invited to give a lecture at the University of Ghent for the students of the IMFSE and the local Fire Safety Eng. Programme.

The lecture was about the emerging fire hazard due to Lithium-Ion battery technology where Ulises explained in detail many aspects revolving around the LIB technology, but most importantly the safety aspects (fire behaviour and toxicity, safety design) and the challenges the technology is bringing to the built environment. The students were quite engaged in the topic and also acknowledged that the LIB technology will be a challenge in their careers.
