On 17^th November, the 48^th regular meeting of SIST/TC82 Photovoltaic Systems was held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana. SIST/TC82, operating under the Slovenian Institute of Standardisation, brings together experts involved in the development and harmonisation of standards for photovoltaic systems in Slovenia.

At the meeting, FRISSBE researcher Nik Rus delivered a focused presentation titled “Streha in sončna elektrarna sta v požaru skupaj” (The roof and PV system are involved in the fire together). His contribution outlined key statistics on PV-related fire incidents, together with insights into how rooftop photovoltaic installations influence building fire behaviour and overall fire safety performance.

The presentation sparked an active and constructive discussion among committee members. Topics included the crucial role of installer training, the need for proper system maintenance, and opportunities to enhance public and professional awareness of fire safety in buildings equipped with solar power systems.
