Nik Rus, PhD Student from the FRISSBE Department, recently participated in the 40^th Symposium on Occupational, Process, and Fire Safety held in Portorož, Slovenia. This event, organized by UL Fakulteta za kemijo in kemijsko tehnologijo, Katedra za poklicno, procesno in požarno varnost, and Zbornica varnosti in zdravja pri delu, took place on June 18 and 19, bringing together experts and professionals dedicated to safety in various fields.

On June 19, Nik Rus delivered a compelling presentation titled "Vpliv konfiguracije sončne elektrarne na širjenje požara na strehi" (Impact of Solar Power Plant Configuration on Fire Spread on the Roof). In his talk, Nik also introduced our PV Fire Safety Guideline, a comprehensive document crafted by the FRISSBE team.

Nik's presentation emphasized the importance of a systematic approach to fire safety in PV installations, highlighting the need for stringent guidelines to mitigate risks. The PV Fire Safety Guideline covers various aspects, including ignition, fire spread, building roof construction, and firefighting strategies, offering a holistic view of fire safety for PV systems.
