On 11th November, Prof Grunde Jomaas represented FRISSBE at SHARE Romania 2025, the country’s leading international forum for architecture and construction technology, held in Bucharest. The event gathered 57 speakers from across the world, including renowned architects, engineers and researchers, to discuss the future of building envelopes and advanced architectural solutions.
Prof Jomaas contributed to the SHARE Experts Meeting on Fire Safety & Façade Design, where he delivered a lecture titled “Emerging Fire Risks from Renovation and Electrification of Buildings.” His presentation outlined the growing challenges associated with large-scale renovation programmes, increased building electrification, and the rapid deployment of photovoltaic systems. He emphasised the urgent need for improved testing, harmonised regulations, and design practices that ensure fire safety throughout the life cycle of modern façades.
SHARE Romania 2025 focused on Advanced Architecture and Façades, featuring dedicated sessions on Digital & Modelling Façades, Sustainable Façade Design, and Fire Safety. The event also welcomed Special Guest Cristóbal Tirado, founder of Tirado Architects (Chile), highlighting its global perspective.
Prof Jomaas’s contribution reinforced FRISSBE’s role in advancing fire-safe, energy-efficient building practices through scientific research and international collaboration.
