Sustainability and Fire Resilience: Webinar 3 - Research Directions in Sustainability and Fire

Grunde Jomaas, the ERA Chair holder of the Fire-Safe Sustainable Built Environment (FRISSBE) project, presented his talk titled Emerging fire research to support long-term sustainability​
​at Sustainability and Fire Resilience: Webinar 3 - Research Directions in Sustainability and Fire organized by the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE).

In addition to Jomaas, Xinyan Huang from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Zahra Jandaghian from the National Research Council Canada gave their presentations and shared their view about the topic. These presentations provided valuable insights into the complex interplay between fire safety and sustainability, highlighting the importance of these topics in today’s world.

The webinar was the third and final virtual presentation in an SFPE series that addressed the overarching theme of sustainability and fire resilience. Webinar 1 set the scene for the series theme, while Webinar 2 provided fire safety perspectives relative to the three pillars of sustainability (environment, social and economic).
