Grunde with his PhD student, Arjan Dexters, at the University of Edinburgh. He truly enjoys supervising students.

Grunde outside The Elephant House, the cafe where JK Rowling wrote parts of the text for her Harry Potter books. It was severely damaged by a fire in September 2021.

In the center of Edinburgh, there is a statue of James Braidwood, who founded on of the first municipal fire brigades in the world in 1824. He later founded what eventually became the London Fire Brigade.
